  • Toll charges for trips to Bjørnafjorden municipality: kr 88 extra
  • For trips from the airport, a toll charge of kr 49 applies

Maximum price areas

For maximum price areas (smaller locations), the state's maximum price regulation set by the Norwegian Competition Authority applies.

Fees and surcharges

Tolls

Only in areas where this is permitted. Taxis do not receive the same exemption as other public transport, and often have to pass through a toll station to pick up a passenger or return. Taxi 1 therefore charges a fixed toll share of kr 25 per trip, added when the taximeter is stopped.

In addition, external toll stations (for example the Kvam package) and ferry costs are charged at face value, both ways. For trips to and from Bjørnafjorden, the surcharge is kr 88.

Airport fee

Avinor has given Fast Travel responsibility for collecting a passage fee for taxis entering the traffic forecourt at certain airports. The fee applies to opening the barrier so the taxi can pick up a customer, and is disclosed separately in accordance with the price information regulation.

  • Bergen: kr 24 incl. VAT
  • Stavanger: kr 18 incl. VAT
  • Trondheim: kr 24 incl. VAT
  • Tromsø: kr 21 incl. VAT

Cash handling fee

We encourage all passengers to pay by card to reduce the risk to our drivers. Handling cash is costly, and the driver may charge up to kr 30 in fees to cover this cost.

Terms of transport for Taxi 1 AS

Valid from 15 January 2025.

§ 1 Application of the terms of transport

The terms of transport constitute the agreement between the passenger and the taxi driver and/or the taxi dispatch centre.

§ 2 Booking a taxi

When booking, the customer must provide the information necessary for the trip. If a specially equipped vehicle, extended seating capacity or special equipment (special transport) is required, this must be stated. Plan the trip to allow for delays, especially when connecting with a boat, train or flight.

When booking a taxi for more than four passengers, the company reserves the right to send several smaller cars instead of a maxi taxi. The price then follows the taximeter price per car.

Cancellation can be made up to 8 hours before the trip starts. For later cancellations, or once a car has been assigned to the trip, full payment will be charged.

§ 3 Use of taxi ranks and priority rights

When there is a queue at a taxi rank, the driver takes the passenger whose turn it is. The sick, disabled and people with small children have priority. The public is directed to the first available taxi, but has the right to choose which taxi to take.

§ 4 Hailing outside a taxi rank

When the taxi is available, the vacant light must be lit and visible. Outside a set distance from the nearest taxi rank, the driver may pick up a passenger who gives a clear signal, provided the stop can be made safely.

§ 5 The driver's right to refuse trips

The driver may refuse an intoxicated person, a passenger behaving threateningly, or others there is a legitimate reason to refuse. The passenger always has the right to bring a guide dog.

§ 6 Performance of the trip

The driver must follow the fastest route, unless the passenger decides otherwise. Unless otherwise agreed, the last passenger to alight is responsible for payment. Smoking in the taxi is prohibited, and the driver may require prepayment.

§ 7 Waiting time, interruptions and delays

At pickup and during the trip, the driver is obliged to wait for the time interval specified in the driving regulations and driver instructions, unless otherwise agreed.

§ 8 Payment, change and receipt

Fare calculation follows the dispatch centre's tariff regulation and price rules unless otherwise agreed. The trip can be paid by debit card, credit card, TT card or cash. Requisitions or other forms of payment must be agreed with the dispatch centre or driver before the trip starts. The driver is not obliged to change larger notes than specified in the driving regulations, and any driving related to getting change is charged to the passenger.

You are always entitled to a dated receipt with the driver's name, licence number, pickup and drop-off location, and other information that makes it possible to verify the price. For trips paid on credit, each trip is invoiced with a surcharge of at least 20% of the fare, but not less than kr 200. Other surcharges may apply, for example tolls or extra time due to closed roads.

§ 9 Security for payment

If the driver accepts an item as security for payment, the dispatch centre must be notified within 24 hours, and the passenger must receive a pledge receipt stating the route, amount, fee, and the time and place for return. Official documents such as passports and driving licences are not accepted as security. A promissory note approved by the dispatch centre may be used as an alternative.

§ 10 Luggage

The driver will help you with your luggage. Luggage that, due to its size or shape, is not suitable for transport in the car may be refused. If you need to bring more luggage than normally fits in a regular taxi, let us know when booking, and we will send a suitable car.

§ 11 Lost property

Forgotten items can be returned for a fee according to recommended prices. If this is not possible, the driver delivers the item to the location designated by the dispatch centre within 24 hours, and must take proper care of it in the meantime.

§ 12 Liability

Personal injury: the carrier's liability is regulated by the Motor Vehicle Liability Act, and we have insurance in accordance with the law's requirements.

Luggage and goods: if luggage is lost or damaged due to error or negligence on our part, compensation of up to kr 60 per kilo of the lost or damaged part will be paid.

Delay: liability for compensation may arise when arrival or completion takes longer than reasonable. There is no liability when the delay is caused by the passenger or circumstances the driver could not avoid, and liability ceases when the customer is notified with reasonable notice that the booking cannot be fulfilled. In any case, liability is limited to the cost of the trip itself and a maximum of kr 500.

The passenger's liability: the passenger must compensate the carrier for damage and costs caused by negligence or intent, for example broken doors or theft of equipment. Vomiting in the car incurs a payment requirement of at least kr 1,000, against a receipt from the driver.

§ 13 Disputes

Disputes between the passenger and the driver that are not resolved between the parties may be brought before the dispatch centre.

§ 14 Complaints and deadlines

Claims for compensation must be reported to the carrier and/or the dispatch centre without undue delay, and lapse after one month unless other legislation provides different deadlines.

§ 15 Information

The terms of transport and the current tariff regulation are available in the car, at the office and on our website, and are shown on request. By booking a trip, the customer accepts the terms.
