Taxi licence and driving permit
According to new regulations from March 1, 2024, you take a theory test at Statens vegvesen. You no longer need to take a driving test.
Theory test
35 tasks in 60 minutes, in Norwegian. You must have 85 percent correct to pass, and will then receive a competence certificate for taxi drivers.
Price and booking
The digital theory part is taken at the driver and vehicle licensing office and costs kr 400 (as of 01.01.2022).
Other requirements
You must be 20 years old and have held a driver's license continuously for two years.
